Black Screen After Installing XP PRO?


I can't help wondering if Windows updates are to blame, though, due to the fact that about 13 new updates were just released onTuesday(10/13).I am new to the forum. It takes less than a minute and is completely free! Now I can't open Windows because it is missing the drivers. When it goes black wait for the cd to spin down again then hit ENTER, wait 5 seconds then hit F8. Any more ideas?
