When I did the above it says application was unable to start correctly. Problem: Windows explorer was trying to mount these and map them, but timed out a dozen times or so, ending in amalfunctioningexplorer. Safe mode worked fine b4. I disconnected the mapped drive (through regedit Export registry dialog, was able to see the drive, right-click and disconnect), but that did not fix the issue.
