Computer Freezes When Accessing Floppy Drive

If you can transfer the files from a machine that will read them onto a USB stick or CD, you will save yourself a lot of exasperation. I tried to format it and got a message that said Windows could not format the disc.So, I thought maybe the old IDE floppy drive had gone belly up. Set your PC to boot from the CD.
