The names given will be quite obscure, but they should correspond to the name of a .SYS file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS   You then need to navigate to each of those .SYS files Dvd Drive Doesn't Recognize Disk Motherboard, video, audio, etc. just to know I'm not alone is a huge encouragement for me.

But I did uninstall both internal dvd drives and rebooted and still the same. Now after the FIX It open the disc. Reconnect power cable to CD/DVD drive and then the Main Power Cable & Power-On PC which will re-install the known best driver. Once reported, our moderators will be notified and the post will be reviewed. Still running XP did not do the Vista upgrade.
