External Hard Drive Not Opening


Worked perfect in getting a HDD recognized as external data storage (USB-SATA adapter). My problem:Win 8.1All usb periphs fineCouldn't get Toshiba/wd flash drives to recognizeCould see them as "mass storage device" in device managerCould see them under disk management but didn't have drive path The older devices do show up in disk management. I hope he answers both our questions on this issue.

I've got a bricked seagate too. This WD Elements USB hard drive was working fine. The culprit could be the cable or the usb controller within the enclosure. but the drive itself was absolutely OK.

Please kindly help. It will check the file system and attempt to correct any errors.
