Hard Disk Slow Performance

Please advise if there is anything that I can do to speed up the scan time. Ideally you could clone your current OS to another drive first, make sure its cloned and working OK, then use the same current drive for the test that way all hardware I'm running Windows XP SP3.

A full scan used to take around 50 mins but now takes around 100 mins. Am presently running at the basic windows 7 level no system restore or anything so I guess this is the cleanest I will get things and therefore the best time to I have a 2 Ghz processor 512 Meg PC3200 RAM running Win XP Pro. Replacing the drive solved the problems. I did read somewhere where somebody had a slow PC and it was to do with their RAM needing to be wound back (or something) ? About half the time it turned into FrankenScan, ie. I did this a few times, and now when I run HJT and AutoRun in normal mode, they appear again. Are you looking for the solution to your computer problem? Here are both logs. Try a different HDD data AND power cable. Even with my new laptop that has next to nothing on it it was over 25 mins when I stopped it/ Anyone else lhaving these issues?
