I do definitely agree that the IDE drive needs to go. Replaced the old drive with the new one and rebooted using the repair disk I generated after saving the image file. Well, the laptop sees both partitions of my hard drive, and can read everything on it without any problems, could this still be a HDD issue? I upgraded its CPU, added RAM, added another SATA Hard Drive, and added a Video Card long time ago.
