Need Help Overclocking!

I realized that overclocking is a bit different for every mobo, which is why I'm here asking for help. I iz nervous.Edit: I also noticed, that setting my voltage to 1.27 changes the color of the text. I guess I could jump back and forth but.. I disabled core performance boost, cool&quiet, C1E support, SVM, CORE C6 STATE, HPC MODE, and APM while overclocking in the BIOS.

Try that with p95 and see if it'll run. Every chip is different. But people tend to like 70C degrees or lower. Once you've accomplished a steady clock and voltage, then proceed to testing.

Mobo's have a multitude of safegaurds these days that the chances of you frying something off of simple BIOS tweaks is slim. This review is gonna be pretty bad. So, I'd imagine that with a GTX 580, which is more powerful than an HD 5870, your i7-920 would definitely be bottlenecking your GTX 580 at its default frequency of 2.66 Thats why the clocks are all different.

Keep in mind that as the chip heats up, it slows down the transistors and traces (they become more resistive) You have a great cooler so this shouldn't be a problem. The D0 is a much better overclocker.
