As you can see from the screenshot above, my Dell computer is not tested for Windows 10. I use Firefox and I unchecked the TCP/IPv6 box and set my browser to automatically detect settings, as well as setting my TCP/IPv4 to automatically obtain an IP address and DNS. Turn the modem on and wait for the lights to settle (you should see a steady light on the modem) then turn on the router. They seem to stop broadcasting after a minute or two of pulling the connection but that kills surfing while trying to do anything with the port.

I suspect the PC has a virus and now I can try to clean it because the advise in the following Blog entryworked like a charm!
