i was looking for this tool for almost 6 months . Works an absolute treat!! You are the MAN! I am running Vista Ultimatex64 & I am having the same issues. Many thanks to the creator. My IE flashes for a msec and exits. I still got a "could not complete HW install) at this point, but upon reboot XP did report finishing the hw installation(it recognized the new mouse and installed the new wdf01000.sys
