yes I've done that too. The EXE link on www.winhelponline.com allowed me to again launch .exe files without a dialog box coming up. The easiest way to fix your executibles, which after hours of searching I found, is: CTRL-ALT-DELETE for Task Manager. Either the virus or the antivirus make some files to go crazy.
