Solved: Got A BIG Problem Booting Up 2000


Opened a command window and did a bootrec /RebuildBcd and bootrec /FixMbr then bootrec /FixBoot. i got the same error in my desktop. You should be able to just simply cancel the message and it will continue installing as normal. I have gone through every step I can think of and nothing seems to work.

I went to safe mode with networking and succesfully got in. So my problem was solved by attrib -c grldr under XP recovery console. This can often be due to hardware failure (bad hard disk, memory or CPU for example).
